Gastrointestinal symptoms cluster was the third frequent cluster with 10% occurrence rate (16,518). Non-communicable diseases
(Hypertension,
Diabetes,
Obesity)
were more prevalent in
symptomatic
than presymptomatic cases.
Presymptomatic carriers were observed in 13% (25,520) of the SARS-CoV-2 cases with no symptoms on test day and previous days. More common among older adults (31%) than children (26%).

About 254 patietnts with clinically confirmed Novel coronavirus-infected
pneumonia
(NCIP) were enrolled in order to study the frequency of GI symptoms in COVID-19 patients.
Medical and non-medical staff were counted and analysed separately. As evidenced by our case report, this knowledge gap can lead to a delay in diagnosis and will increase the opportunity for viral transmission to other people including healthcare workers.
